Q: What is the first step for me to take in getting your help?
A: If you have questions, first read through this FAQ list, which should answer most if not all of your questions. Then fill out our Custom Research Online Quote Request Form as completely as possible. If you feel ready to fill out the quote request form (which does not require payment and incurs no obligation on your part) without reading through this FAQ, then just go right to it. If, after reading this FAQ, you still have questions, you are welcome to either email us or request a free telephone consultation.

Q: How is your service different from other similar types of services?
A: We maintain the largest network of top-notch consultants (researchers/writers, editors and statisticians), most of whom hold PhDs in their fields of expertise. ACI’s director is a Harvard graduate and PhD, with many years of experience in a wide variety of consulting and support services. Q: How do I know I can trust you? I've never purchased services over the Internet before.
A: Check out our client testimonials. We think you'll agree that the only way to rack up testimonials like those is by not just meeting but exceeding expectations. We look forward to hearing you tell us how satisfied you, too, are with the work we do for you.

Q: How do you calculate your fees?
A: Depending on the nature of the job, we can arrange to work on the basis of either a flat job rate or an hourly fee. (Please inquire for current hourly rates.) In any event, there is no charge to you for the initial consultation or the fee quotation.

Q: Do you have any minimum fee levels for the work you do?
A: Yes. The current minimum fee for any job is $500, though we will occasionally accept initial orders for less than that amount, circumstances permitting.

Q: How do I show you what I want edited?
A: Send your documents as file attachments to e-mail.

Q: What methods do you use for delivery of jobs to clients?
A: Sending files as attachments to e-mail over the Internet is usually the best method. We can send and save files in a variety of formats.

Q: Are extra fees generally charged for rush jobs?
A: Yes. Always try to allow as much time as possible for any job, both to save money and enhance quality.

Q: Would you be able to do something in a few days or even less, as long as I am willing to pay a rush charge?
A: You are always welcome to query us. We will always do our utmost to accommodate you.

Q: What are your terms for payment?
A: In general, payment in full is required before work begins. For large orders of several thousand dollars or more, installment plans are available.

Q: What methods of payment are available?
A: You may pay by credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express), PayPal, bank wire transfer, money order, Western Union or American Express “MoneyGram” or direct deposit into a Bank of America account. Personal or company checks are also accepted (online option [PayByCheck] available for US-based accounts).

Q: You said there is no charge for quoting a fee on a short job that involves review of 25 pages (6,250 words) or less. What about large projects, such as those relating to master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, involving review of more than 25 pages of materials?
A: Before reviewing materials more than 25 pages in length, we request a $150 good-faith evaluation fee, as it usually takes at least several hours to go through a large number of pages. If you proceed with the work, the evaluation fee is credited toward the job fee. Otherwise, it goes to help defray the time and expense of conducting the review and generating the fee quotation.

Q: Do you guarantee your clients confidentiality?
A: Yes: All the work we do is strictly confidential.

Q: Would any work that you do on my behalf belong to me alone and not be subject to resale?
A: Yes. We do not resell or redistribute in any way any client’s work.

Q: May I speak with you by telephone?
A: Yes: Simply access our new Free Telephone Consultation Request Form and our project manager will promptly call you, at the time you specify. (Please note that due to time and budgetary constraints, call-backs must be limited to qualified queries.)

Q: What if I haven’t found the answers to all of my questions on this page?
A: Just send it to us by e-mail and we’ll answer as promptly as possible (usually within a few hours). Or request a free telephone consultation, as described above.
